Michael A. Schechter, MD
Dr. Michael A. Schechter is a board-certified interventional cardiologist. He joined Dr. Levine at Advanced Heart & Vascular Institute in Boca Raton, Florida, in September of 2020.
Dr. Schechter received his bachelor’s degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. He completed medical school at the Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, in 2013. He then completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Texas at Houston in 2016. He went on to perform his Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at the University of Texas at Houston, where he spent 6 months at the MD Anderson Cancer Center training in Cardio-Oncology. He finally completed his Interventional Cardiology and Structural Heart Disease fellowship program at the University of Texas at Houston, where he was mentored by Dr. Richard Smalling one of the most prominent structural heart disease interventionalists in the country.
